Bamboo
Palm
This is a shade loving feather palm from Mexico that can
tolerate temperatures as low as –6 degrees or less. However it is rather
fragile in respect to its stem, and its leaves will scorch if exposed
to direct sun light for a long period. Although this is not life threatening,
it is a little unsightly but the leaves will soon be replaced in summer by new,
bright green leaves. It will grow to 3 metres in height and forms suckers, and
at this size slightly resembles a bamboo. It likes to be watered well in summer
but in free draining soil.
