The famous Mediterranean Fan Palm probably needs no introduction. It is one of the only two European palms, the other being Phoenix theophrastii from Crete.

It is relatively low growing and sends out suckers from the base. Compact and cold tolerant to -8°C, it is perfect for small gardens.
